Project Overview
Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge is located about 28 kilometers downstream of Jiangyin Bridge and about 16 kilometers upstream of husutong bridge. It starts from the Chenyang interchange of Zhangjiagang port dredging Expressway in the south, enters the Yangtze River at the upstream of Zhanggao ferry, and ends at Shizhuang interchange reserved for G40 Shanghai Shaanxi Expressway in the southwest of Shizhuang Town, Rugao City. The total length of the route is about 30 kilometers. The main line of the bridge adopts the expressway standard, in which the river crossing section is two-way eight lane with a design speed of 100km/h, and the North-South connection is two-way six lane with a design speed of 120km/h.
The total investment of the project is about 31.167 billion yuan. The project is of great significance to the implementation of the national strategy for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the development of the Yangtze River economic belt, and to the promotion of the construction of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration and the cross river integrated development.

The Suzhou Zhangjiagang section of zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge is about 11km long, with Chenyang (hub) and Zhangjiagang North interchange. The 2300+717m suspension bridge is designed to span the main channel of the Yangtze River in Zhangjiagang. It will be the world's largest suspension bridge with the largest span, the world's highest suspension bridge tower, the world's longest high-strength main cable, the world's largest diaphragm wall anchorage foundation, the world's largest continuous length steel box girder, and the world's largest displacement expansion device. It is the first work of "China Bridge" to break through the 2000 meter span mark for the first time.
